Elf on the Shelf

Yes, I do an Elf on the Shelf in my classroom. I know there’s some debate about it…but, my classroom, my rules. Deal with it.

I have my Elf, Snowflake, show up on the first day of December. Our Elf doesn’t get into much trouble…he just moves around each night after traveling to the North Pole to report to Santa. He sometimes leaves us notes too!

Snowflake even brings with these fun decorations when he shows up the first day too! So festive!

When our Elf first shows up, he brings the Elf on the Shelf book, a note, an Elf Adventure Journal, and LOTS of glitter! You can grab the Elf Journal in my TpT Store.

Like I said , Snowflake doesn’t make a mess or make any mischief, he just moves around the classroom each day. The kids LOVED when Snowflake was on one of the pineapples above the green table. You can grab the pattern to make your own 3D Pineapples here.

Here’s Snowflake on our Family Tree board. He even added his own family picture.

On the last day before Christmas Break, Snowflake will post this picture as the background on our SmartBoard.

That way I can pack everything up while the kids are watching a movie in their PJ’s. And the Elf won’t be around for me to forget…

  1. I don’t have an Elf with my 4th graders but think it would be so much fun! So creative and love the journal idea!
